in vitro	AZ505 inhibits the binding of SMYD2 to the miR-125b promoter region (based on chromatin immunoprecipitation assays) and suppresses clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) cells migration and invasion by inhibiting the SMYD2/miR-125b/DKK3 pathway.
in vivo	AZ505 treatment resulted in the decrease of the tumor sizes and weights in the renal cell carcinoma xenograft model mice.
