in vivo	Isosteviol (ISV) improves glucose and insulin sensitivity, lowers plasma triglycerides, lowers weight in diabetic KKAy mice, and markedly changes the gene expression profile of key insulin regulatory genes. ISV has a high bioavailability and a potent insulinotropic effect.

	実験の流れ	NS-1E cells are seeded in 96-well plates at a density of 3 × 10⁴ cells/well in 100 μL medium. The cells are allowed to adhere overnight. Thereafter, they are treated and cultured with different concentrations of glucose, palmitic acid, and leucine with/without 10⁻⁷ M ISV or 10⁻⁷ M Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). After 72 h, the number of dead cells in each well is calculated using a fluorometric assasy kit based on the cell lysis and staining method.
