in vivo	Schizandrol A could improve the learning-memory dysfunction in mice induced by sodium pentobarbital intraperitoneally injected, and its protective mechanism is related to the effect of lowering oxidative damage and inhibiting the cell apoptosis through up-regulating the expression of Bcl-2 and down-regulating the expression of bax and improving the synthesis of neurotransmitters through increasing the expression of ChAT in the hippocampal CA1 region.

	実験の流れ	After 24 h of incubation with or without schisandrin treatment, SH-SY5Y cells are seeded onto 96-well culture plates. Metallothionein (MTT) is added and absorbance values are continually measured for 4 d. All assays are conducted in triplicate. Data are expressed as percent viability. Rate of SH-SY5Y cells proliferation is calculated from optical density (OD) values.
