in vitro Demethylcantharidin (DMC) is also found to be highly effective in inhibiting the growth of mouse hepatocytes, with an IC50 of about 10 μM.

実験の流れ Cells are seeded in 96-well microtiter plates (1×104/well; 100 μl) and allowed to equilibrate in quadruplicate wells and exposed to drugs (cisplatin, 1-5 and DMC: 2-200 μM; carboplatin: 50-3000 μM) for 72 h. After which, MTT (5 mg/ml, 20 ml) in phosphate-buffered saline is added and the cells are incubated for 4 h at 37℃. MTT/medium is then removed and the formazan product is dissolved in DMSO (150 ml) and absorbance is measured at 570 nm using a microtiter plate reader
